April and May Blessings

Faith Prison Ministries have been very busy during the month of April an May and God just
continues to bless. We have had so many salvations and dedications it makes me to stop every time I think about it and thank God for letting me part of his plan. I have a hard time believing he would use someone like me because I know what I deserve, but his grace and mercy goes father than my imagination. I am so thankful for what he has done in my life and the life of others through Faith Prison Ministry.

The Bible is a book of history, of examples, a book of love and direction, but most of all it is the book of his instructions on how we are to live this life. As he said, I want you to have life and have it more abundantly. Sounds great and it fits in with what we want. But there is another verse that says “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these other things will be added unto you”. Use the bible as it is intended and remember that the B I B L E stands for Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth.

I want to thank those of you who pray for us and I am so glad that one day he will give you rewards for your faithfulness. His rewards are way greater than what we can even imagine. I don't know about you, but I have a pretty vivid imagination! But he said that we won't even be close tp imagining it! WOW!! Praise God!!

the Hamilton Unit

We went to a new unit Sunday to finish out January, and boy did the GOOD Lord show out! We had 32 salvations making our total for January reach 60! Man, God is Good.

We talked about things that are not always as they appear, such as Noah building that ark for 100 plus years. I guess if there ever was someone labeled as the town idiot, I think the folks back then would have pointed to Noah. As he built, he begged the folks to get their lives right with God, and that God would destroy the earth with the flood. But they were too busy to listen. Yes, things are not always as they appear. But after God had shut the door, and the rain started to fall, they were running down to the ark to listen but it was to late. I believe if the ark could be found today, and somehow found in pristeen condition, I think that the most frighting sight would be the scratch marks on the door of the ark. Looking at those scratches, you could almost hear them say "I believe now!! I understand now!! Please tell me one more time!! I won't laugh or make fun of you any more!! I believe now!!"

I know that every Sunday in churches all across America, there are people saying it does not matter because we are all going to same place any way. There may be a lot of truth in that, but not at the location we expected!

We can't even fool the people we are around, but yet we are trying to fool God! We really need to look at our life and ask ourselves are we really being honest. If we can't fool the people around us, how do we think we can fool God?? It is time to get real with your self and then be truthful to God.

A Blessed January

This year has really started out with a bang. God is really moving with Faith Prison Ministries. We have gone to four different units in three weeks and have had twenty-eight salvation's so far.

On the 6 of Jan we went to the Goree unit where we had eight inmates come forward. The 13th of Jan we went to Byrd unit and had seven more salvation's. On the 22nd of Jan we went to the Ellis unit where we had three more inmates commit their lives to Christ, and finally on the 23rd we went to the Hughes unit in Gatesville, Tex where we had ten salvation's.

The Ellis unit currently holds 2,401 inmates and is at capacity. The Huges unit currently holds 2,894 inmates of it's 2,900 capacity. It also is full. The Goree and Byrd units are running at about 80% capacity according to the TDCJ website.

Thank all of you for your prayers and may God Bless you.
We will be going to a new unit Sunday, the Hamilton Unit, and we give you a report about how God worked in that service.

The Greatest Gift

TDCJ Byrd unit north of Huntsville, TX

We had 2 salvations at the Byrd unit in Huntsville Sunday 16.
We talked about the greatest gift that has ever been given, and that is the gift of salvation. We live in a world filled with emphasis on giving worldly gifts this time of year to show each other our love for one another, but no gift can compare to what Jesus did for us. The Bible says all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and the Bible also says that while we were still sinning, Christ died for us anyway. Why this is important is because the Bible also says that the result or the wages of sin is death. So anyone who has ever sinned, and that's all of us, will be separated from God because of the sins we have committed. That's bad, but the rest of that verse says “BUT the Gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ”. WOW! We have a way out of a hopeless situation that we are all born into!
Well the next Question is well what do I have to do? The Bible says believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and thou shalt be saved. Well that sounds easy enough, but some of you have heard this all your life and for some reason nothing ever happens. Why is that? That's because of the distance we some time feel between us and God feels like a long way off, but the distance is really the length from your head to your heart. It s not enough to say you believe in him, you must believe in your heart. I guess the best example I know is that I know with out any doubt who the President of the United States is. I even know he is from my home state of Texas. I know the town he lives in. I know his wife's name and even his dogs name. But if I go to Washington I doubt they would let me in even though I could tell them all the things I know about him. The problem is he does not know who I am. I do not know him. I just know things about him. Therefore I will not be allowed to see him. Unlike the President, Jesus is ready and able to accept everyone who comes, but he wants to know you and as a matter of fact the Bible says he knew you when you were in the womb and every hair on our heads are numbered! Now that knowing us! He died for us so we can have a personal relationship with him. So what are you waiting for? Man, I am so glad I know him as the blessing are so wonderful as he says in his word. I want you to have life and have it more abundantly. Also the Bible says seek you first the Kingdom of God and then all these other things will be added unto you. Well, what you waiting for? The ball is in your court, and by the way you may be saying “Well I am not rejecting him, I am just not ready yet.” No, my friend that is rejection and I pray that God will let you have another chance before you take your last breath.
God Bless

Getting in the Wheelbarrow

Goree Unit south of Huntsville, TX

On Dec 2, we went to the Goree Unit in Huntsville, TX where we go on the 1st Sunday of every month. We get to preach in the chapel in the building also after that we go to the Trusty Camp and have a service. The Trusty Camp is made up of low level offenders who serve their time by giving back to the community.

The topic was Leaning on Jesus instead of relying on ourselves. We used the example of the high line walker who wire walked across the Grand Canon. Before he walked, he asked the crowd "How many of you think I can do it?" The crowd cheered and said "We believe you can do it! GO for it!" He walked across and back and then told the crowed he was glad they believed him. "Do you think I can do it again?" and they all cheered. Then he uncovered a wheel barrow and asked the crowd if they thought he could push it across the canon. "Oh yes" shouted the crowd and they cheered as he pushed it over and back again. "Do you think I can do it again?" They all believed he could . He asked "Do you think I can push my assistant across in the wheel barrow?" "Yes" the crowed shouted. But he had no assistant, so he asked for a volunteer but no one would accept. They all knew he could do it, but not with "me".

We all know God can do all things, but sometimes we will not get in the wheel barrow. We have seen him work in other peoples life around us and we know he can do it, but we do not have the Faith to get in the wheel barrow. I pray that you are able to do the things that God calls you to do.
We had 10 salvation's on Sunday. These guys got in the wheel barrow. And remember, no one ever said it would not be scary. That's what faith is all about.

We will be going to the Byrd Unit in Huntsville on the 16 of Dec.
